NL Search is a metasearch engine that aggregates the results of other search engines without storing information about its users.

What is Project Noleron?

Because we use SearXNG software, which does not collect or analyze data about you.

How do I make NL Search my default search engine?

NL Search supports OpenSearch. For more information on changing the default search engine see the documentation for your browser:

• Firefox
• Microsoft Edge - You can also find some useful instructions here for Chrome and Safari.
• Chromium - based browsers only add sites that the user goes to without path.

How does it work?

SearXNG is a fork of the well-known searx metasearch engine, which was inspired by the [Seeks] project. It provides basic privacy by mixing your queries with searches on other platforms without saving your search data. SearXNG can be added to your browser’s search bar; it can also be set as your your default search engine.

The stats page contains some useful anonymous statistics about the engines used.

How do I get my SearXNG instance up and running?

SearXNG appreciates your concern about logs, so grab the code from SearXNG sources and run it yourself!
